Dear Adam,

I almost can’t believe how much my life has changed since I signed up for your program. I remember telling
myself that this was it: I was either going to lose weight and learn to treat my body with respect, or keep living
with the same anxiety and disappointment hanging over my head day in and day out. I was tired of always
wishing my body would look perfect when I woke up in the morning — after eating junk food all night — and I
finally decided to take action.

I’ll admit, I had no idea what I was getting myself into then. I was doubtful you could help me achieve the
stability I so desperately needed, and I was even a little put off by the constant inspirational pick-ups that you
never seem to run out of. But then something amazing happened — I started to notice a change. Less than
a week into your program, it became even more apparent how unhappy and frustrated I’d been.

I started caring about my schoolwork and job at the newspaper in a way I never thought was possible; I
actually wanted to go to the gym to get the workout high that never seemed to wear off; and the constant
fluctuations in my diet came to an immediate halt, replaced by a consistent meal plan that didn’t leave me
hungry and kept me energized. As the pounds lifted, so did my negative attitude, and I began to appreciate
your mission for more than just a weight loss plan.

It didn’t take much longer than a week for me to realize that MBT was going to change my life. Never before
had something changed me so much, so quickly. I had always been uncomfortable with my weight and my
body, but more than that, I’d lost all confidence in myself to follow through on the goals I was constantly
trying to achieve. It’s so easy to break a promise to yourself, but when someone else is holding you
accountable, it makes all the difference, at least it did for me.

Looking back, it’s easy to realize why all of this has worked. The diet itself is so flexible that I’ve never had a
problem sticking to it. If I ever felt bored with what I was eating, it was a quick switch to change it up without
losing focus. And whether or not you’ve worked with a personal trainer before, the truth is, we don’t need
someone with us in the gym telling us how hard to work. We all know that exercise is important, we just need
someone to get us there, and Adam, that’s exactly what you did. Even on the days when I wanted to do
anything BUT work out, I’d be running on the treadmill and in the back of my mind I’d hear you saying “Let’s
go, make it happen!”

It’s one thing to know that someone’s reading your daily feedback every night, but it’s something else entirely
when you know that the person on the other end truly cares about you. You live for your clients, and trust
me, it shows. No matter what the issue was, there was never a doubt in my mind that you’d help me get
through it. I know it isn’t your job to be my therapist, but it might as well be because you’ve always been
willing to listen to anything that was on my mind, knowing that our daily lives are what present the big and
small challenges that can get in the way of achieving our goals.

Well Adam, it paid off.

Six weeks into your program I lost 15 pounds; several inches off my waist, hips and thighs; and gained
muscle tone that I haven’t had for years. Instead of cringing every time I look in the mirror, I feel proud of
what I’ve accomplished. For the first time in my life, I feel truly confident in my body and it’s an absolutely
amazing feeling.

You always say that when we feel good about ourselves, and treat our bodies the way they’re meant to be
treated, we take more risks in life, and you couldn’t be more right. Your insight has given me the motivation
and the courage to follow my dreams, as impossible and unrealistic as they sometimes feel. It’s never a
question of “if” with you, it’s a question of “when,” and that mindset has completely changed the way I’m
learning to tackle the world.

I have to laugh a little to myself when I think about why I signed up for MBT. Mostly, I was looking to lose a
little weight and maybe gain enough momentum to reach my fitness goals by the end of the summer. Instead,
I’ve adopted an entirely new lifestyle that I can’t imagine putting an end to after only six weeks. Not only did I
drop the weight — faster than I ever expected — but you’ve given me the tools to continue shaping my body
for the rest of my life. Daily feedbacks have become like second nature, and I honestly don’t know what I
would do without them to keep me grounded and on track.

As excited as I am to keep advancing my own progress, I’m even more excited for the chance to become a
body tutor myself! Knowing the thrill of dropping pounds, losing inches and feeling completely in control of
my life is something I want to help others experience, too. I’ve always had a passion for health and fitness, I’
ve just never known how to apply all that knowledge and enthusiasm until now. With everything you’ve taught
me, and knowing my own personal transformation, I have no doubt in my mind that being a body tutor will be
an incredibly rewarding experience!

Adam, I can’t thank you enough for getting me this far — and I can’t wait until I have the opportunity to do the
same for someone else!
