Welcome, ladies and gentleman!

First off, I want to warmly congratulate you.

It takes guts and courage to start something new. It takes guts and courage to even think about starting something new.

But this is something extremely worthwhile. I can assure you of that.

I like to relate exercising and eating right to laundry and brushing your teeth.

For most people laundry is something they hate doing. Especially when it builds up. It becomes what I like to call ‘The Laundry Monster’. Yet, whenever our laundry is finished and all folded up (including our socks in little balls) it always feels amazing.

Same goes for when we exercise. Whenever we’re finished it always feels incredible.

How about brushing our teeth? Don’t your teeth always feel clean and healthy afterwards?

Eating right has the same affect. It always feels great to eat healthy.

But because we're all going about our extremely busy lives, we keep saying, "Forget it, I'll just start tomorrow!"

Or, maybe you do actually start. But for some reason you can't keep going.

Unfortunately, it’s just too easy to make excuses and procrastinate. It's even easier to lie to ourselves and to rationalize poor eating and lack of exercise.

More often than not we get into these ruts. ‘The Exercise and Diet Monster’ begins to build up in our minds. Yet, whenever we attack that monster (be it laundry or exercise or diet) it feels amazing.

How long do you have to keep brushing your teeth?

Eating right is something we all know we should do, too. Yet, we’re always feeling too tired or overwhelmed or unmotivated to do the right thing even though we know how good it feels.

Some people might say, “Well, just pay someone to do your laundry!” In theory that works.

But I don’t like other people touching my clothes. After all, they are my clothes.

Can’t you just buy ‘magic diet pills’ or ‘magic fat creams’ and all of these intricate and complicated machines that ‘work wonders’? Can’t you just go on one of the latest ‘fad diets’ or ‘miracle diets’?

Sure you can. But we all know those don’t really work no matter how much we’d like to think otherwise.

Besides, do you really believe losing 30 pounds in three days is realistic or sustainable or healthy?

And I don’t like messing with my body. After all, we only have one of them.

Nothing beats doing the time and tested - day in and day out. And that’s exactly what MyBodyTutor is all about.
