Adam, I’m not losing weight as quick as I want to!

What do I always say? Slow and steady! Have patience. Your body might be adjusting to years of yo-yo dieting. Your metabolism needs time to regulate itself. This can take from 30 to 90 days. It doesn't mean that this is wasted time, at all. It just means that we are doing major repair work by conditioning your cardiopulmonary system, strengthening your muscles, and breathing new life into your metabolism.

Have patience. I promise you this will work! Even if it's coming off slowly and even if you never yo-yo dieted, you're definitely NOT gaining. Your metabolism will regulate soon enough. Just have faith in yourself and me and in this process. Soon enough, your metabolism will start working like crazy and you’ll notice yourself getting hungry more often.

And pretty soon you’ll be thanking me. I guarantee it.

I will leave you with this bit of inspiration though:

Stuck in a rut...

Losing weight is never about a hammer hitting plate glass.

It is almost always about the accrued power of a thousand meals, meals that accrue, morsel by morsel until your body is ready to change, starting a downward trend.

The first pound is very exciting, of course. Everyone lines up to cheer.

It's the second pound that's lonely. Most of the time, everyone has long left the building or the support group or the cheering section and moved on to celebrate some other first pound.

The second and following pounds - sometimes get criticized (probably by you - the most).

Am I still working on this?

That's not so great.  Is that it? Is this really worth it?

But then, all of the sudden, the pounds that come next, prove once and for all that you were doing the right thing all along.

Patience is truly a virtue.

A virtue I say.

Imagine…

Just imagine if you stayed consistent with your diet and exercise for 6 months!? 3 months!? Even 1 month!?

Let's find out! No more excuses.

Warren Buffet said it best, “The best investment you can make is in yourself!” I say, everything means nothing without your health and fitness!
