Anthony always had a problem with his weight. It had always been something that persisted to give him problems with his self image and confidence. He finally got to a point where he didn’t want to be a slave to food.
The Action Plan
Anthony needed something realistic. I kept stressing to Anthony that it’s what we do most of the time that generates most of our results. I helped him wean off his ‘favorite’ foods. I knew pretty soon he’d realize his favorite foods weren’t really his favorite foods.
They were just a reliable source of comfort. For 2-10 minutes. What I really worked on Anthony with was the excuses he’d make to himself and planning ahead more.
Although, Anthony is always running around because of his job and kids; I knew Anthony had it in him. (In fact, we all do.)
With MyBodyTutor it’s all about helping my clients be brutally honest with themselves. And that’s the key.
Anthony didn’t become very successful professionally by lying to himself. But unfortunately, when it comes to eating and exercise…it’s just too easy!
Why it Worked (in his words)
I set my mind on becoming healthy and losing weight. I wanted to fit into human size pants and be able to look good.
MyBodyTutor works because it makes you think before you eat. I used to eat first and think, actually whine, later. This plan makes me think before I eat. Now I can see what certain foods will do to my body, what kinds of feelings I will have if I do eat them, and why I shouldn’t eat them. I will also have to answer to Adam for what I eat.
Having kids and the stress that goes along with that is a recipe for disaster when it comes to eating. I will sometimes eat anything that “appears” in front of me. I also have to eat fast because kids are unpredictable. You can lose them fast!
The accountability of the program is also a key to its success. I have to be accountable for EVERYTHING I eat on a daily basis. Adam reviews, comments, and corrects my eating habits daily. He also sends me a motivational message everyday that really does lift my spirit – I don’t know how he does it every day but it’s incredible!! The message sets the tone for the day and reminds me that I am in control of what I eat, not vice versa.
Working out is also a key to weight loss. Again, Adam will help tailor a program to get you going. He will establish a plan that’s realistic, and most of all effective.
Adam is unlike any other person that I have ever enlisted to help me because he is so committed, passionate, and down to earth. He is realistic and compassionate but he’s also tough. He tells me like it is and helps me to do the things I want to do deep down but would normally put off.
He really believed in me from the start and in turn that made me believe in myself. MyBodyTutor is an amazing company and an exceptional program! And although I still have some work left I know I would've never made it this far without Adam and his program and I'm absolutely confident we'll get to where I want to be!
