Why everyone thought the NFL replacement refs were awful and how it can impact your health
In this post, I’m going to share why everyone thought the NFL replacement refs were awful, and how it can impact the way we look at our food options.
Let’s get to it.
You ever hear of the game Spotto? It’s a game that involves finding red cars (or whatever you want) and shouting the appropriate term as you see them.
What you discover after just a few minutes is how many red cars there are. A heck of a lot!
We notice what we choose to notice.
When we played spotto with the NFL replacement refs, and that’s what we did, it’s very easy to see why they were making so many bad calls…
We were ONLY focusing on their bad calls!
The real NFL referees make bad calls all the time. But because they were replacement refs, it was easy to only notice (and focus) on the bad calls.
Consider playing a version of spotto involving delicious, and healthy foods or ways where we can move more (steps instead of elevators, parking far from the store as opposed to close, etc.).
What we’ll notice is that there’s a lot more of it out there than we would have guessed, which will make it easier for us to follow suit.
Stop focusing on what you don’t have. Focus on what you do have. Stop focusing on what isn’t healthy. Focus on ALL that is healthy, and tasty.
For today. For this coming weekend. For life!
Rant! The reason why the NFL waited so long to give into what the real refs wanted was because Roger Goodell, the commissioner of the NFL, a 9.3 billion dolllar business, believes that the demand for the NFL is inelastic. People will watch the NFL no matter what. He’s right. But as a business owner, I think that’s an awful way to do business. The only thing that matters for the NFL is the experience of the viewers. Without us viewers, the NFL wouldn’t be what it is today
Why the rant? Because I feel very grateful for my clients, and it upsets me when business owners treat their clients like they don’t matter. I know MBT is nothing without our clients. They are why we exist.
