It was the daily contact, showing up and being honest with my coach -- even if I was off on a particular day -- that really helped ingrain the behaviors and made it more natural over time.

If Andrew can do it with MBT you can too. Yes, YOU! (No, we’re not yelling. We just really believe in what we do.)

As you can see, Andrew’s transformation is truly remarkable. But “before and after” pictures just can’t capture the whole story…

Andrew was no stranger to dieting. As a wrestler in high school, there was a lot of pressure to “make weight” and perform, which led to an unhealthy cycle of cutting and gaining weight. And this up and down pattern became something he struggled with most of his life.

Andrew knew having a coach would help him reach his goals. And after hearing Brandon Turner (on the BiggerPockets podcast) talk about his success with MyBodyTutor, Andrew decided to join.

“I’m a firm believer in having mentors in the areas of my life I want to improve. I’ve had success with mentors in other fields, so it was a no-brainer to have a coach help me stay focused and consistent on my health and fitness.”

But Andrew didn’t join just for a physical transformation. He had a much deeper motivation.

“I have lost weight many times before, and I know that weight isn’t the problem. It’s a symptom. It’s what manifests from something else…something deeper. So my goal was to focus on what matters most — the root cause.

I know that if I was just worried about getting the body I wanted and ‘changing the exterior,’ then I would’ve missed the real goal. What was important to me was getting to the reasons I ate, getting to the source, and focusing there.”

But that doesn’t mean he still didn’t have his doubts.

“There was a part of me that never really thought that I could attain what I wanted. I thought it was out of the realm of possibility. But somewhere along the way, it shifted from not possible to inevitable.”

And what made that shift happen was daily 1:1 support and accountability.

“What I liked most about MyBodyTutor was the two-pronged approach. It was working with my coach on the root causes, and it was learning to listen to hunger and fullness cues, logging what I ate, and the process of building habits…

It was the daily contact, showing up and being honest with my coach — even if I was off on a particular day — that really helped ingrain the behaviors and made it more natural over time.”

When I spoke with Andrew and asked what advice he would offer to someone trying to get fit, here is what he said:

Fall in love with the process. It’s easy to focus on the physical changes and celebrate what you see at the end, but I’ve had transformations before. The problem for me was that the transformation was only .001% of my experience. The other 99.999% of my experience was me in the “before” pictures. The shift that happened was learning to celebrate the everyday wins. If you had the meals you wanted to have today and you did the movement you wanted to do, you have a lot to celebrate. And at the end of the day, you see it’s the process, not the end result, that makes you successful.

Take the smallest action you can possibly take. It seems that when we think about health and fitness, we start in this mode of what feels like endless motivation. It’s day zero, and we’ve got this “perfect” cardio or strength training program, and we’re going to spend hours working out. But that motivation only lasts for seven or eight days until we realize that it’s just too much.

Instead of counting on motivation to get you through, what if you make each action so small that it’s ridiculously easy to do? What if you go outside and walk for five minutes every day? Pretty soon, that five minutes turns into ten, and then ten minutes turns into twenty.

You may think taking a short walk isn’t going to have an impact. But what you’re doing is creating a habit and going through a mental shift. And one day, you’ll look up and find you have this routine that’s now part of your life, and that is far more powerful than motivation.

Get clear on why you want to change. If you’re going to get fit, start by asking why that matters to you. Because when you dig deep enough, you see it’s not about losing weight at all. So go deeper and find your real motivation, get to the reasons why you overeat — and be honest with yourself. Because when you work on the root cause, that’s where you’ll see real change happen.

Join MyBodyTutor…it works. You’ll have a real person you resonate with and a real person to touch base with you every single day. When you check in with your coach, you’re setting your day up for success. And the value of what you get with MyBodyTutor makes it an easy choice.

I think people get stuck on the cost of working with a coach and they wonder if it’s worth it. But a powerful reframe is to flip the situation. Imagine I had a magic wand that could change everything for you in an instant? What would you pay for that to happen? Most people would say just about anything.

But you don’t need magic. With MyBodyTutor, I found that I can now do it myself. And when you join, that’s what you’ll find too.

Andrew asked us to blur his pic, and we respect his privacy. But what a testament it is for him to still share his transformation and story.

What did you say to yourself as you were reading Andrew’s story?

It’s fascinating when we start to notice our own behavior. Typically, we distance ourselves from that person. We find something they have that we don’t. We make them into something other than an ordinary, regular person. Then, we create an excuse for why we can’t achieve the same level of success.

The most important thing to realize: Whatever anyone else has done or become, you can do or become as well, with the right support, guidance and accountability.

Here’s the best part: I guarantee it or your money back. I sincerely believe in what we offer that much. I know MBT will be the last program you ever do or need.
