I was both excited and worried about the daily accountability aspect because I have a somewhat rebellious personality, and thought I would chafe against a third party holding me accountable.
Results ARE typical and to be expected with MyBodyTutor. See why at the end of this page.
If David can do it with MBT you can too. Yes, YOU! (No, we’re not yelling. We just really believe in what we do.)
Why it worked in her own words
I found out about My Body Tutor from my wife, who had read about it in the book Better than Before and thought the approach might help me.
As a teenager and young adult, I was always very skinny, but as I entered my 30’s and beyond I began putting on weight. At first I felt like I was able to work off the excess pounds in the gym, but that became harder and harder as the years went on. I would go through periods where I would get serious about losing weight, which typically involved going on a “regimen” where I was very strict about what I ate, and made a consistent effort to work out. The problem was that I always felt like I was depriving myself.
I would lose weight over a certain period of time, but when the regimen was over I would overindulge on everything I felt I was deprived of, and gain the weight I worked so had to lose right back.
I was interested to try MBT because it was all about sustainability rather than deprivation. I wanted to change my habits and take an approach that was sustainable over the long term. I was both excited and worried about the daily accountability aspect because I have a somewhat rebellious personality, and thought I would chafe against a third party holding me accountable.
I’m pleased to say it worked very well. My tutor explained the process in our initial call and gave me a diet and exercise plan I felt comfortable with. The daily accountability really helped me in being conscientious about what I was eating and how much I was moving. Nothing was off limits from an eating perspective.
If I had an indulgence I did it with eyes wide open and enjoyed it rather than feeling guilty. In the past, one indulgent food choice would lead to another, and I would “write off” the rest of the day, week or month! I’ve finally overcome my “all or nothing” mentality. The whole process of choice worked so much better for me than depriving myself of certain foods, and now I look at each choice individually.
I’m thrilled with my decision to work with MBT – I lost 20 pounds as part of the process, and feel much healthier. I felt like I was working with a non-judgemental coach, and the process helped me develop a long term framework rather than a short term fix.
20 Pounds gone
What did you say to yourself as you were reading David’s story?
It’s fascinating when we start to notice our own behavior. Typically, we distance ourselves from that person. We find something they have that we don’t. We make them into something other than an ordinary, regular person. Then, we create an excuse for why we can’t achieve the same level of success.
The most important thing to realize: Whatever anyone else has done or become, you can do or become as well, with the right support, guidance and accountability.
Here’s the best part: I guarantee it or your money back. I sincerely believe in what we offer that much. I know MBT will be the last program you ever do or need.
