Meet Lori. Here is her success story in her own words:
I never imagined that I would be a success story. Having always been fairly thin, fit and active, seeing the numbers on the scale going up was unsettling, but I didn’t do much about it. I was back at school full-time to get Masters degree and change careers at the age of 48.
It wasn’t until I couldn’t fit into my clothes, that I decided something had to be done to get rid of the “freshman 15” I had gained during school. After some research online, I found MyBodyTutor and was able to lose 20 pounds.
While going to school, full-time student-teaching, preparing a portfolio to submit to the state for certification, taking care of my family (two teenage daughters, husband and dog), our house, and preparing all meals, I was certain that this would be extremely challenging, but I was confident that I could do it! I had to do it to feel better – I was tired of feeling tired all the time.
My coach shared recipes, texted/called when she just knew that I needed her right then, talked me off the ledge multiple times, and provided accountability, support and guidance on a daily basis. It made all the difference. I wouldn’t have succeeded without MBT. I was able to use the MBT tools once I saw that they worked and they now have become habits.
I have since graduated with my Masters in Business Education and started working at a local High School. I feel healthier, lighter, and can keep up with the students in the halls! My running has improved and I can run farther since I’m no longer carrying around a 20 pound weight with me.

It’s fascinating when we start to notice our own behavior. Typically, we distance ourselves from that person. We find something they have that we don’t. We make them into something other than an ordinary, regular person. Then, we create an excuse for why we can’t achieve the same level of success.
The most important thing to realize: Whatever anyone else has done or become, you can do or become as well, with the right support, guidance and accountability.
