“For the last 20 years my weight has slowly increased. In my late 20s I was 60kgs and until I tried MBT 8 months ago I had gone up to 75kgs. I was good at losing weight through all the usuals like weight watchers, calorie counting, separating carbs from protein and even subliminal tapes but I just couldn’t maintain the weight once I lost it. So after continually putting weight on again and again, I got disillusioned and just stayed overweight. I was also very lazy with exercise and would have short phases of jogging and then I’d give it up for sometimes months but mostly, years at a time.
I found MBT via google and joined it to get into the habit of exercising but after I learnt that 80% of weight loss is about what I eat I decided to take one thing at a time and focus on my food intake and deal with the exercise a little later. I thought I knew how to eat healthily but there was a lot that I didn’t know. I’m the kind of person who needs to take my time with things so I didn’t try and lose loads of weight immediately, I just started losing weight slowly and some weeks I’d even put on a bit but I wasn’t too concerned as I knew I was getting into a habit of eating that was sustainable for a lifetime. After a few weeks my tutor started encouraging me to begin exercising and I began jogging short distances that slowly increased over the months.
I’m now between 1-2 kgs under my goal weight and I run 5kms about 2 times a week. I also hula-hoop for 30 mins, once a week. I feel “SO” much better and have maintained my weight. I weigh myself every 1-2 days so I can keep a firm eye on it and I immediately cut back if my weight has increased. MBT is well worth the money I spent because if I hadn’t tried it I wouldn’t be exercising at all, I’d still be about 7 kgs overweight and I’d be bashing myself on the head at the end of most days for overeating.
