I'm more confident because I don't feel out of control around food anymore.

If Suzi can do it with MBT you can too. Yes, YOU! (No, we’re not yelling. We just really believe in what we do.)
I’ve had a tumultuous history with dieting. Similar to a lot of people’s stories, I hopped on the restrictive diet and binge eating cycle when I was 16 years old. I didn’t know how to just eat – I was either dieting or bingeing.
Fast forward to me at 36 years old after the birth of my third child and really frustrated with my weight, but more so frustrated with being continually trapped in the diet/binge cycle. This was something I was determined to NOT pass down to my two young daughters. I was re-reading Gretchen Rubin’s book Better Than Before and I read about MyBodyTutor. I immediately signed up. I receive training and am able to take constructive criticism in my career, so why was I trying to tackle this huge burden in my life by myself? My only concern before signing up was that I would have to follow yet another diet, but Adam reassured me that this was not the case – I could eat how I wanted to and my tutor and I would work from there.
MyBodyTutor changed the trajectory of my life. Taking pictures of everything I ate was scary at first, I had always tried to hide my weird eating habits from everyone. But gradually I learned what normal portion sizes were, how to judge my own fullness, to identify why I was eating and to pause before I ate and ask myself if I really needed that particular food. Learning to hit pause on my emotions has spilled over into other areas of my life as well – I pause before responding to my husband or my kids and that has had huge positive effects on my relationships.
Together we worked on what foods were best for me in terms of satiety, and going forward from there I was able to identify the ‘diet mentality’ that so often tripped me up in the past. I got so much more out of MBT than I could have expected when I initially joined. I learned to take time for myself (which is hard with 3 kids aged 4 and under and a demanding career!) and I’m more confident because I don’t feel out of control around food anymore. My eating is not always perfect, but I am much healthier and happier because now I can eat something indulgent that I want, enjoy it and move on with my day.
I’ll be forever grateful to my tutor, to Adam (I love his emails – they’re so insightful and inspiring), and MyBodyTutor because I will not be passing my former disordered eating habits to my children.
P.S. I wish I had a better ‘before’ picture but I wasn’t letting anyone take pictures of me at that time of my life.

What did you say to yourself as you were reading Suzi’s story?
It’s fascinating when we start to notice our own behavior. Typically, we distance ourselves from that person. We find something they have that we don’t. We make them into something other than an ordinary, regular person. Then, we create an excuse for why we can’t achieve the same level of success.
The most important thing to realize: Whatever anyone else has done or become, you can do or become as well, with the right support, guidance and accountability.
Here’s the best part: I guarantee it or your money back. I sincerely believe in what we offer that much. I know MBT will be the last program you ever do or need.
