Allie

When people ask how and why I got into personal training, I always start with this:

“Hi! My name is Allie, and I’m a former crash dieter.”

I’ve basically done every crash diet out there. All my life, I had been obsessed with getting smaller, as small as possible, even at the expense of my health. It overshadowed everything in my life and ruined every event I participated in, from family functions to holidays to random days at the beach. The combination of restricted calories, processed diet products, and excessive cardio left me with a sloth-like metabolism, a terrible body image, and disordered eating patterns. No matter what I ate or how much I worked out, I could not take off the weight. I damaged my metabolism and I was desperate.

I felt lost, dejected, and defeated. Everywhere I looked, I saw crazy diet plans, insane workout promises (lose 10 pounds in 10 days) and none of it worked so I decided to take things into my own hands. I read up on how to repair a damaged metabolism, studied the healthy ways to portion food, and slowly but surely changed my relationship with food and exercise. I finally learned how to take control of my body and mind and it felt amazing. I was able to build the body of my dreams while still enjoying life! (Yes, it’s possible!)

After I broke my disordered eating cycle, I decided I wanted to help others do the same and find their own version of a stress-free, healthy lifestyle and make it my career. I’m so passionate about helping others find that happy medium in their own life. I got certified with NASM as a personal trainer, fitness nutrition specialist, and weight loss specialist and now I LOVE my job!

My approach to training is extremely personal and individualized. I don’t just want to help you lose weight or get in shape. I want to help you understand why the tools I’m giving you work. I think a client should not just receive a program, they should understand why that program is tailor-made for them. I want my clients to understand their bodies AND understand how to achieve results rather than just blindly follow a plan.

Since becoming a personal trainer, weight loss specialist, and fitness nutrition specialist, I’ve helped clients all over the world achieve the bodies of their dreams. I’ve helped women in New York (my home city) lose 50 pounds and I’ve helped soldiers in Iraq put on 10 pounds of muscle. It’s been an honor and a privilege to help these clients reach their goals and I can’t wait to help you reach yours!

Just remember–we all have the same hours in a day as Beyoncé. You deserve to be your best self and I want to help you be the best you that you can be!
