Hi! I’m Alyson!
I am a Board Certified Holistic Nutritional Practitioner, I have my Personal Training certification through AFPA, with specializations in Pre/Post Natal exercise, and I am a certified Holistic Health coach. I’m also certified to teach kids yoga, and am a group fitness instructor.
But NOT on paper I am a single homeschooling mom to a 7-year old son. We spend most days playing outside, learning in nature, and traveling as much as possible.
I have been through my trials and failures of living a healthy life, but I never committed to wellness until I found out I was pregnant with my son in 2014. I knew I wanted him to grow up as healthy as possible and the only way to do that was through focusing on MY wellness first.
After giving birth, I suffered from postpartum depression which lasted for over a year. This has manifested into regular depression that I still have to work hard to manage. The only thing that helped that first year was exercising and eating intentionally. But even then, I didn’t feel complete.
Through trying different ways of eating, exercise styles, self care, mindset work and habit setting, I have found what works for me, even though there is always room for improvement. Maybe you have heard the phrase, “you can’t pour from an empty cup?” I have finally found the truth in that, and strive daily to fill my cup so I am able to help others.
I found MBT and just knew I wanted to work with them. They encourage and teach the same approaches to wellness that I do. They get it. MBT understands that JUST a meal plan and exercise plan isn’t enough for sustainability. They see the long term and help their clients plan and develop it. They understand the importance of accountability and make it so easy and streamline for coach and client.
