Chauncey My name is Chauncey and I’m a certified health coach. And just like you, I am also an everyday person that works hard to maintain the healthy lifestyle I have developed for myself over the years. Husband, Father, Son – these are a few of the titles I proudly hold. All these titles come with hefty responsibility!

During my high school days, I was known for 2 things – music and muscles. After high school, however, so many things changed. I chased a music career but doing so meant a lot of late nights, junk food and other bad habits just to keep me going.

Then one day, everything changed – I found out I was going to be a dad. Knowing the gravity of this new role, I put music to the side and started my first job as a security officer. Once my son was born, life consisted of work and taking care of a newborn. Many of you will understand how difficult that can be. I was back to the late nights, junk food and more of those bad habits. A couple years later I met my beautiful wife and got married. I switched careers and joined the field of sales and distribution. This field required very long hours, sleep deprivation and was very strenuous on my body. During this time my wife also experienced multiple miscarriages.

I’m sure by now you see where this is heading…Chronic stress, lack of sleep, no time (or soI thought), no consideration about the food I consumed, or my health and those muscles I worked so hard to build were slowly giving way to fat. I started putting on weight faster and faster. My health was being affected and I needed to draw the line somewhere. At first, I tried doing things that worked for me when I was younger, but this time, those methods weren’t working. That’s when I came to the realization that health is not a spur of the moment, quick fix issue. It’s a lifestyle, and requires a mindset shift. I started to dig deeper, I focused on changing my behaviors and my thoughts, and over time, I found the right combination of practices that worked for me. Taking that health journey for myself gave me the opportunity to realize I have a greater purpose in my life – helping others achieve their health goals!

Choosing MBT wasn’t a hard decision. MBT has a system that focuses on going deep, beyond the surface, to find out what’s going on behind the scenes and really get to the heart of the matter. Having a nutrition and fitness plan is meaningless if you’re unable to break free from the mindsets working against you. There’s also the factor of individuality. We work together to find what works best for you, meeting you where you are and building from there. One of the best parts of this experience is the daily accountability. When we say we’ll be there every step of the way, we mean it. Daily encouragement, daily guidance and yes, daily challenges. We will work together to create a lifestyle that will not only help you achieve your goal but that will be sustainable for life.
