Hi! I’m Cindy. If you’re looking to lose weight (and keep it off), you’re in the right place.
I’ve always considered myself to be a ‘healthy’ person. I was a competitive swimmer when I was young and went to university to receive my Bachelor of Physical Education.
The problem was, years later, I didn’t feel so ‘healthy’. I’d gained (and had difficulty losing) 20lbs and was tired all of the time. I was frustrated because I was doing everything that I thought I was supposed to and nothing seemed to work.
It wasn’t until I started to read more about nutrition that I realized when it comes to weight loss so much of conventional advice is wrong. When I changed my diet and saw such dramatic improvement in my health, it’s like a light bulb went on. I decided to leave the corporate world and went back to school to study holistic nutrition.
But there was a catch.
While we spent a lot of time at school studying what to eat, we spent very little time on how to help people change their behaviours. One of the biggest complaints of nutritionists is ‘client compliance’. It got me thinking, maybe the issue isn’t ‘client compliance’ at all but rather how we help people lose weight.
We need a different approach.
I came to realize that ‘detox’s’ and ‘cleanses’ don’t work – at least for the long term. In order to lose weight and get healthy in a way that’s sustainable, the focus should be on developing the right habits and mindset in a way that doesn’t make you feel restricted or deprived.
Which is exactly what My Body Tutor’s does.
Why Did I Join My Body Tutor
As a nutritionist I struggled with being a part of the weight loss industry because it’s rife with quick fixes and false promises. When I came across My Body Tutor and Adam’s realistic approach to weight loss I knew it was exactly the way I wanted to work with clients. So if you are looking to lose weight and aren’t looking for some magic pill, this is the place that will make it happen. I’m excited for the opportunity to work with you – we can do this!
