EmilyHow many of us have spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars on our health only to end up with the same results? Yup. That was me. When I began working with my health coach, I didn’t think too much of it. It was expensive! But I figured, what the heck I’ll give this a try. It was a last ditch effort. What I didn’t realize, is that I was in for a MASSIVE eye opening experience.

Each and every “DIEt” that I had tried previously left me with no better understanding of food and health than when I started the said DIEt programs. I am here to tell you that I will never go back to a DIEt again. DIEts deprive you of food and when you hit your goal, you’ll then dive back into the same cycle as you had before, plus an extra 15lbs! What I didn’t understand was that health is more of a mental mindset change than anything. Not only did I learn to change my thought process about food through coaching, but I learned so many other aspects of health.

Becoming a health coach was an easy decision. What I learned was so awe inspiring and relative to my personal life. I wanted others to feel the same feeling of inspiration that I did and still do. Everyone needs a “coach” in some aspect of their life and for me it was and is for my health.

I love helping others and it’s in my veins. My dad coached baseball, football, track, basketball, wrestling, was the physical education teacher and was the athletic director at our local high school. I joined him at many practices while my mom was at work (that’s just what you did as a parent back in the day) and I got to watch him coach. Coaching is not just about dictating what players do, coaching is being a partner in the highs and the lows, being a person’s biggest cheerleader. I want to do what both of my parents did. They coached me to be the very best person I could be, and now I want to pay it forward.

Becoming a coach for MyBodyTutor was an easy decision too. The program is set up to ensure you succeed. It is positive, loving and supportive. I know MBT is the best place for me to thrive as a coach!

A little more about me:

I have 1 husband, 2 children, a beautiful sister, 4 (Beagles) dogs and 1 fish. My life is busy but I wouldn’t change it for the world! I understand what you are going through. I get it. Life can be hard. Life can be challenging. It can be a daily struggle, but you know what makes all the difference? OUR HEALTH!!! I used to play sports through high school and intramural sports in college, meaning I exercised every day and didn’t realize it was exercising. Why? Because I enjoyed it! Exercise = Movement and Movement = Exercise. You have to enjoy what you do. If you don’t then it becomes an obligation and not fun at all! I’m going to help you come up with a food and exercise plan you enjoy.

One of my favorite quotes is: “If you do not take care of your physical and mental health now, you will be forced to take care of your mental and physical illness later.”

In the words of King Julian, from the movie Madagascar, keep this mantra going and let’s get your life back to where you WANT it to be!

“I like to move it, move it! I like to move it, move it! MOVE IT!”
