Jess P.

Jess P.Where I have been:

Health and Fitness has been a major part of my life since I can remember; some might call it an obsession. My childhood love of sports led to me to play collegiate volleyball and softball. I studied fitness and nutrition at Biola University while completing a degree in Health Psychology and I continue to find myself fascinated with the physical and mental aspects of athletic performance.

Following graduation, I became the Head Softball Coach at my alma mater where I discovered the challenges of developing and motivating others. After working through two seasons I came to understand that the reward of achievement is well worth the sacrifice and perseverance. Beginning with my experience as a coach, I can say that I have a passion for motivating people to achieve more than they believe is possible.

Besides coaching both volleyball and softball, I also acquired several personal training certifications and have spent the last 4 years working as a personal trainer in a variety of settings. I have worked with young and old, beginners and tri-athletes to help each individual to meet their specific fitness goals.  There are not many things that I love more than helping someone become the person they were created to be.

Who I am:

I am still a health nut.  I am married to a wonderful man who allows me to be me.  I am a mom of 2 girls who keep me on my toes. I never could have imagined what a gift my children could be though I have to be a lot more creative to keep my own fitness goals.  I am also the Women’s Softball Coach at a small private university in Northern California.

What I love:

I love to run – both for fun and for the competition, even if it is simply against myself.  I love dark chocolate covered espresso beans.  I love getting to work with all kinds of people to help them reach their life and fitness goals – I really do believe I have the best job in the world!

Why I am a Body Tutor:

Are you kidding?  My Body Tutor captures the one element that is so often missed when training in a gym or someone’s home.  Consistency.  Working as a Body Tutor also allows me to reach so many more people than I possibly could in the gym.  It also offers the daily accountability that truly is the key to fitness success.  I left my job at the gym to become a Body Tutor because I really believe in what this program has to offer!
