Let’s face it – all those free workouts and 28-day “get your smokin’ hot beach bod” challenges aren’t giving you the lasting results you’re looking for, are they? As a mother of three and someone who fervently believed for a long time that “calories in – calories out = magical weight loss”, I’m here to share with you what I’ve discovered: that there is a distinct difference between being “skinny” and being “fit”. Seems self-evident, right?

I placed my happiness in the hands of being “skinny”, and although I got skinny, I was not happy. The head trash still swirled around my head, and the negative self-talk tapes played over and over each time I looked in the mirror. I was never good enough for myself. It wasn’t until I chose being “fit” that my perspective changed, and I unearthed my happiness factors: being present for my husband and kids, self-love, strength, acceptance. In fact, when I stopped striving for “skinny” and gave my efforts to “fit”, I discovered inner joy. Guess what? The same can be true for you, too.

Which is why I’m so excited to be a tutor for MBT!
