Rachael

RachaelI’m a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Yoga, and Fitness Teacher based out of the South Bay in Los Angeles California who is a big believer that health is a lot more than just the food on your plate.

My interest in food as medicine stems from my own deeply rooted digestive distress starting from the womb, which was the root cause of acne off and on through my teen and adult years, hormone imbalances, and adrenal fatigue. I’ve experimented with several elimination diets, gut healing protocols, foods, herbs, life style changes, meditation, and natural remedies to figure out what works best for me. My gut healing remains a continuous journey in search of optimal health and I have since turned my wide knowledge base into a passion of coaching others through the same.

Before becoming a certified Health Coach and Yoga Instructor, I was a Graphic Designer in the Health and Health Care Technology industries. While I loved my job, I was a little bit too behind the scenes and wanted to work with people more directly.

When I’m not designing, doing handstands, or attending a yoga class, you can find me dancing to live music, traveling the world, out in nature, browsing farmers markets, cooking, or petting every dog in sight.

I owe the big leap from being a Graphic Designer to a Coach to my Uncle Bobby, who passed away from cancer. Though he decided to go the traditional chemo route, he helped boost his immune system through nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle adjustments. Doing so nearly doubled Bobby’s life expectancy from his original prognosis, giving him vital time with his family. It was around this time that my personal nutrition interests transformed from a hobby into a life and career goal.

More recently, one of my brothers, 32, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. My passion for health and wellness, already very deep rooted, has now become even more ingrained in every thing I do. I’ve dusted off my Uncle’s nutritional cancer research and I’m even more eager to guide others on how to live their lives to their full optimal health potential.

I hope to influence people to question what they may know about wellness and take their health into their own hands by making it a lifestyle, rather than just a burdensome goal.
