Hi! My name is Sarah, and I’m here to help you eat well and feel great!!!
From a young age I learned to appreciate food and the role it plays in our lives. I learned how to cook by watching my father and grandmother. I loved seeing how happy their cooking made people, and the way it brought everyone together. I can still remember the smell of Julia Child style French omelettes with PLENTY of butter, one of our favorite things to cook together!
While I always loved FOOD, my journey with NUTRITION began years ago when I was experiencing a lot of anxiety, digestive issues, and the nearly impossible task of not falling fast asleep at 2:30pm each day.
I sought relief from doctors and specialists. They were able to suggest a lot of different pills and medications for symptomatic relief, but very little in the way of long term solutions. I knew the problem was dietary, and that something I was – or wasn’t – eating was to blame. Finally, I found a practitioner that listened. The problem was, indeed, my diet, and very shortly after I made the necessary changes, I felt better than I had in a long, long time.
So many people are stuck in a cycle of feeling lousy, but not knowing how to feel better or where to begin. That’s where I can help. I can help you get yourself on the road towards abundant health.
My approach as a holistic nutritionist is to help you find this happy place of eating the foods you enjoy, feeling satisfied, and being forever liberated from diets and deprivation.
Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions, percentages and numbers, I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy lifestyle in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline.
I was so happy to find MBT, because during my years in practice, I’ve found that the common denominator for those of my clients struggling to reach their goals was accountability. MBT offers daily check-ins that keep each client grounded in a routine. I have found this to be essential for reaching wellness goals. It is what turns a “health kick” into a long-term healthful and balanced lifestyle.
My current love affairs (besides nutritious food, of course) consist of travelling, standup paddle boarding, my dog, Netflix and tostadas! I think balance is the ultimate goal in life. When you strive for a balanced state, everything else takes care of itself.
