Hi! My name is Tory. I’m a Certified Athletic Trainer and was an athlete all through high school and college. When the organized sports ended, I lost that structured active and healthy lifestyle I had always known. Workouts weren’t planned and the ability to eat large meals was no longer an option for me. I had just been placed in the adult world with a full time job and everything about my life had just changed. Boy, was this a time of transition. During this time I gained weight and then went to fad dieting to try to lose it. I tried a lot of diets – gluten free, dairy free, no sugar, Whole30 and many others.
These, however, were only a quick fix and the results never lasted long. I needed to find a way to get my energy back up and get back to the balanced life I once had and loved. Although these diets got some results, they left me grumpy, tired and feeling left out of the real world. I’d always gain the weight back and was looking for something permanent. At this point I realized it was my habits that needed to change, not just what type of food I was eating.
I know the power of a coach/trainer so I enlisted the help of one. I started working on changing these habits and one by one I found my way back to being healthy and happy. Now these new habits and behaviors that were once difficult are what give me enough energy to be my true self. I enjoy hiking, running, biking, paddle boarding, and taking my pup, Oakley, for all the walks she needs, all while maintaining my own energy with a food/fitness balance that works for me. This change took patience, but with time and effort, we were able to work through it all and get to where I am today – happy and healthy in a sustainable way. I’m ready to share what I have learned, both in school and real life, with you.

I know if I had someone there helping me from the beginning it would have made a world of difference. I would’ve saved so much time.
