As a former English teacher and confirmed bookworm, it was serendipity that I found out about My Body Tutor from a book I was reading. Instantly, I knew this was the place for me. I am completely passionate about helping people discover the best in themselves to find their way to health and well-being. I believe that MBT offers a fantastic mix of support and accountability needed to reach that goal.
I worked my way through college teaching aerobics classes (leg warmers, headband, and channeling Jane Fonda.) At that time, the field of exercise was fledgling, and it didn’t seem a viable career option. So, here I am on my second act, doing what I was hoping to do all along.
My commitment to this field grew even further over the years as I am a survivor of a rare type of cancer that came to visit no less than three times! After the last bout of chemotherapy, I had 40 lbs to lose due to steroids given during my treatment. I have picked myself up from falling more times than I can count. It is my greatest gift in life to be able to work in this field and help others find success.
I currently am a personal trainer and wellness coach, mom of three, and graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Exercise Science with a Wellness Coaching Concentration.
I will be thrilled to meet you and be a part of the journey to your fullest vision of wellness.
I leave you with one of my favorite quotes:
“If you have made mistakes, even serious mistakes, you may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call “failure” is not the falling down, but the staying down.” — Mary Pickford
