Julie S.

Julie S. I grew up in upstate NY, surrounded by family owned dairy farms and a landscape of endless corn fields. One of the highlights of my childhood was accompanying my father on early morning trips to the farmers market. He would purchase produce for the family wholesale food distributing company started by my great grandfather. The smell of lettuce to this day still comforts me in a strange way. The foods we ate were wholesome and fresh.
Fast forward to present time, the cycle of life has prompted me to pursue a lifelong passion of taking a closer look at food to understand its powerful properties and how it affects the body.

I work at a local hospital as a nutrition technician, and I am studying to become a registered dietitian. I see all the metabolic diseases that come from a lifetime of poor habits. I am also a gymnastics coach and a personal trainer. My work-out sessions are individualized because I know from 15 years of experience, everyone learns and adapts differently.

Health and wellness encompasses many facets of daily living, broken into segments of allocated time and focused energy. The treadmill of life can skew the very thing we are trying to balance in order to achieve the ultimate health, wellness, and longevity. It is my belief that your body is worthy of great care and attention. The journey to health can feel too overwhelming to start. This is what inspired me to expand my knowledge in the health, nutrition and fitness arena. I am committed to helping you help yourself adapt to the demands of life, jobs, family, and often times, the sedentary lives in which we live.

Being mindful of your food choices can help create new habits of health so you can live a more vibrant life! MBT teaches us the focus should not be on that piece of carrot cake you ate, but rather why you ate it and how you will spend the rest of the day, week, month and year. We will teach you how to change your relationship with food and view it as a way to nourish your body to make it run optimally. Breathe, simplify, and to quote Hippocrates “let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. Engage in the healthy actions that will give you the life you want!!!
