The have tos vs. the gets tos (this simple change in thinking can make even the most boring tasks seem worthwhile)

There's a lot of things we 'have to' do versus a lot of things we 'get to' do.

For example, if we want to 'get to' feel amazing at the end of the day, we 'have to' eat healthfully.

If we want to 'get to' feel energized, we 'have to' exercise.

Do I love exercising? Do I love eating healthfully?

Sure, sometimes I do. But I don't necessarily love it all the time...

What I love is how I feel when I'm done exercising, and how I feel at the end of the day after eating healthfully.

A client asked me if I love running. Again, I don't mind it.

Sometimes, I do really enjoy it, and at other times I rather be watching reality TV. But, I do always love how I feel afterward!

So therefore if I want to 'get to' feel incredible, I 'have to' run. If I want to 'get to' feel vibrant and healthy and strong, I have to eat natural, whole and nutritious foods.

Everything we do has a consequence. And when we break down all the things we 'get to' do, we realize all the things we 'have to' do.

We all have things we look forward to doing. And we all have things we need to do to be able to do the things we look forward to.

Do you love packing for vacation? I hate it. But if I want to 'get to' go on vacation I 'have to' pack.

When you start to look at all of the things you might 'have to' do so you 'get to' do, it makes the 'have to's' become a lot more appealing....

What do you want to 'get to' do or feel this week?

What do you 'have to' do to make that happen?

Clients always tell me, "It's not that I don't know what to do. For the most part, I do know what to do. It's just that I'm not doing it. I can't stay consistent!"

Yes, exactly.

The first step here is to get over your ego, and acknowledge that you have a tough time staying consistent with your diet and exercise. (Don't feel bad: 2/3 of America does!) Once we do that - then we get to find solutions.

And that's fun - because we can think about all of the possibilities. Imagine if we stayed consistent for 2, 3, 4, 5 months? How would you look and feel? Let's find out!

Try MBT out for a month - risk free - and if you don't like it, I'll give you a full refund. I'll even eat the credit card fees! Sometimes you have to take a chance in order to get to reap the benefits. But this time, it's a risk free chance. Why not join today?
