It was just before my 38th birthday. I had been struggling with losing weight for many years. I would go up and I would go down. When I was 30, I got down to 165 pounds before my second daughter was born. Several years later, I was back up to 196 pounds. When I started MBT, I was 192 pounds. I looked and felt terrible. I was buying larges and extra larges. I am 5’7’’ so…not good.
I would work out sporadically, but even when I did on a regular basis, I did not lose weight. I had tried a million diets and ideas and nothing ever worked. I was desperate and very frustrated. I stumbled upon the idea that I might be an emotional eater from an article I read and I began to identify with this. The second website I found in my Google search was MyBodyTutor.
I liked what I read, but thought that while the ideas seemed right, it was too expensive or just another internet scam. Although what they offered was unique, I thought it was just another (fill in the blank) diet idea. However, I decided I was desperate enough to call and find out more. I wanted to see what this was really about.

Like any diet, it will take hard work from you at first, but you have a coach to help you along, which makes all the difference. Eventually it just becomes who you are. In the past, as time went on, it would get more challenging to stay the course and eventually I’d revert back to my old ways.

It’s fascinating when we start to notice our own behavior. Typically, we distance ourselves from that person. We find something they have that we don’t. We make them into something other than an ordinary, regular person. Then, we create an excuse for why we can’t achieve the same level of success.
