My name is Josh and I was one of those people who didn't have to worry about what they ate. Yup, I was that guy. Even though I was raised to eat healthy and was always interested in health and fitness, eventually becoming a Certified Health Coach and Personal Trainer, I had to take the long way around to get there. I finally found My Body Tutor and have begun to put my knowledge and skills to use. Before then though, I had to have my own turning point.
It was 14 months into my marriage. I was 25 years old and getting ready for a job interview. I put on my dress pants like usual with no worries, as my clothes have always fit me. Except this time. I've been a 30"-32" since around 7th grade and my 34" dress pants were tight. I was shocked. People had said that it wouldn't last, but I never believed them, that was "Future Josh's" problem, not mine. The time had finally come. In that moment I resolved to stop what I was doing and finally apply the things I knew to be healthy to my own life. Three years later and I still don't eat perfectly... and I have come to the realization that I never will. And that's okay.
I'm going to have cake and ice cream at my son's birthday party. I'm not going to work out every single day, even though I want to. The most important thing you can do is to constantly be striving to better yourself, in all aspects of life, every day. That all starts with the ability to control your mind and make incremental changes each day to make the day at least 1% better than yesterday. That's what I'm here to help you do.
I joined MBT because I loved the idea of the daily feedback and accountability to help guide you. I know having someone in your corner to support you throughout the entire process makes all the difference.

-Dad of a 2 year old.
-If I do something, I go all in, 1000%.
-I love mountains and plan to build a cabin in the woods as a getaway.
-My favorite type of workouts are body weight ones with little to no equipment.
-I am a white belt in jiu-jistu (and plan to get my black belt one day).
-I love challenging myself to new things and learning how everything works.
-I take my coffee dark and my steak rare.
-I wake up at 0434 (if all goes according to plan).
-I believe mistakes are there to show us how to get better. To give us an opportunity to refine ourselves. A life with no mistakes is not a life I want to live.
