I’m an NBC-HWC certified health coach who understands how challenging sustainable wellness can feel amid a full, demanding life. After gradually gaining weight over 25 years, I reached a point where my health, energy, and ability to move were compromised. As a married, busy professional and caregiver for my aging parents I knew I needed to have a real, sustainable different way to get healthy.
I wanted to feel better, age better and live life like I wanted, not what I could do. I returned to school for formal training and certification in health coaching, grounding my personal experience in evidence-based practice, behavior change science, and the transtheoretical model of change. Through health-centered nutrition and a lot of learning about sustainable lifestyle shifts, I lost 50 pounds and reclaimed my well-being—along with my ability to exercise which includes distance running, resistance training and yoga. I move with confidence again. Today, I help others pursue weight loss and wellness in a realistic, compassionate way that fits real life. You’ll find me gardening, running, downhill skiing or traveling now because wellness should support the life you want to live, not limit it or restrict it.
