Without accountability it’s far too easy to quit. If you *really* want to make progress, it’s accountability—not motivation—that will get you there.
If Jeremy can do it with MBT you can too. Yes, YOU! (No, we’re not yelling. We just really believe in what we do.)
Why it Worked (in his words):
“Wow, this is an all-time high! I HAVE to do something.”
That’s the thought I had as the scale flashed 223 lbs.
My weight had been creeping up for months, but I just couldn’t stop it.
I was reading weight loss books, watching workout videos, and using calorie-tracking apps. But I wasn’t making any headway. It was too easy for me to give up when I didn’t see any progress or when things got hard.
Then, by chance, I ran across Adam and My Body Tutor.
I follow Neville M’s blog, and he mentioned MBT. (Neville also has an MBT success story). So I searched My Body Tutor to see what it was all about. I read about daily accountability, consistency, and doing the right things day-in and day-out.
“This is perfect!” I said, “It sounds exactly like what I’ve been looking for.”
But…I STILL didn’t sign up.
A couple reasons.
- First, I saw the price and didn’t think I could afford it.
- And second, I thought, “I don’t need help. I can do this.”
But I made a deal with myself. I gave myself 30 days to make a change on my own, and if I hadn’t made any progress at the end of that month, I’d join.
A month came and went, but the scales didn’t budge. So that’s when I wrote Adam.
I told Adam I wanted to be 190 lbs again—that was my prime weight when I was in the Marine Corps. But that was also a number I hadn’t seen in quite some time, so I had a little doubt.
After talking with Adam, he paired me up with my tutor, who was a perfect fit.
My tutor helped create a meal plan that worked for me, which wasn’t the easiest thing to do. I had a list of foods I wanted to avoid—mainly anything green. (more on that in a second)
But more importantly, my tutor taught me to pinpoint my emotional eating triggers. And by doing this, I became aware of *why* I was eating.
Knowing why you’re eating is like stepping outside of a fog and being able to see clearly.
I could now see that I was eating:
…when I was bored,
…when I wanted to avoid doing something, and
…when I wanted to “feel” something different than what I was feeling in that moment.
And WOW! Just knowing why you’re eating is a life changer.
Over the next few months, the weight melted. I was 10 lbs, 20 lbs, and then 30 lbs down.
And it wasn’t because I was eating less. I was eating more than ever. It was because I was eating differently, and for the right reasons.
My coach was key to my weight loss. Just knowing my tutor was there to keep me to my word made all the difference in the world. Before, it was easy for me to make and break promises to myself. But I didn’t want to break a promise to my coach.
Bob Proctor was right on when he said, “Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to the result.”
So how are things now?
I’m down 40 lbs, and I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been. I can’t believe I’m saying it, but I’m stronger and healthier now than I was in the Marines.
The way I eat has completely changed too. When I started MBT, I avoided veggies. But now I crave healthy foods. In fact, I’m the first in line to fill my plate with greens!
When I recommend MBT to someone, I tell them three things.
- There is a cost, but you are investing in YOU. And you’ll never go wrong if you invest in yourself, your health, and your happiness.
- Sure, you can do it yourself, but why? If you fall with a partner, there’s someone there to reach out and help. But if you fall alone, you’re in real trouble.
- Without accountability it’s far too easy to quit. If you *really* want to make progress, it’s accountability—not motivation—that will get you there.
Thanks! MBT has really changed my life. I can’t imagine where I’d be without you guys!
40 Pounds gone.
What did you say to yourself as you were reading Jeremy’s story?
It’s fascinating when we start to notice our own behavior. Typically, we distance ourselves from that person. We find something they have that we don’t. We make them into something other than an ordinary, regular person. Then, we create an excuse for why we can’t achieve the same level of success.
The most important thing to realize: Whatever anyone else has done or become, you can do or become as well, with the right support, guidance and accountability.
Here’s the best part: I guarantee it or your money back. I sincerely believe in what we offer that much. I know MBT will be the last program you ever do or need.
