I felt very frustrated that my incessant snacking ruined all my meals. I felt embarrassed that I was setting a bad example for my children by snacking all day. And I felt concerned for my intestinal health since I wasn't allowing my digestive system to rest between meals.

I essentially spent the next few months training my body and mind to expect three square meals. I no longer feel tempted by my kids' leftovers—it's a miracle! I feel so free. I don't feel like a hypocrite now in front of my kids.
The pleasure of enjoying a meal when hungry was the greatest motivator for me to stop snacking. It is now so wonderfully satisfying to eat meals with hunger that snacks have lost their appeal. And if I do slip up, I am confident that I can get back to my normal meals. I've established a new normal, and it was my exact dream.
