I had tried so many crazy things, like the 6-week bulletproof weight loss protocol: two cups of bulletproof coffee a day for six days, with one refeed day per week. It nearly killed me, and I gained all the weight back within two weeks of finishing. I tried so many other things too, but none of them worked because I didn't understand the psychological side of nutrition.
I was already training a lot and eating great quality food. I just couldn't get to my desired weight. I had a good education about what to nourish my body with, but I didn't have a good education about how to do it to achieve the goals I had set. I was unaware of the psychological/mental principles related to eating, so practical knowledge + mindset were the biggest things holding me back.

It's fascinating when we start to notice our own behavior. Typically, we distance ourselves from that person. We find something they have that we don't. We make them into something other than an ordinary, regular person. Then, we create an excuse for why we can't achieve the same level of success.
