If Mitch can do it with MBT you can too. Yes, YOU! (No, we’re not yelling. We just really believe in what we do.)
How you found out about us?
I went to play basketball one night and ran into a friend, Philip Taylor, who had lost almost 100 lbs with MBT and looked great! I asked for the secret, and he said “It’s no secret, and it’s something you probably already know. I’m being held accountable for everything I put into my mouth!” The old saying of: “It’s 80% diet” had never been so clear to me. I signed up with MBT the very next day!
What you’ve tried in the past?
I’ve tried many many things over the years. And most of them worked to an extent but was absolutely not sustainable. I’ve tried all the different workout routines like P90X, Insanity, and all the Bodybuilding.com workouts like Shortcut to Shred, etc.
Some of the workouts were killer and effective but my body couldn’t keep up over the long haul (injuries, aches, etc.,) and I always felt run down. It was because I was trying to outwork a bad diet and was always carrying extra weight.
I’ve tried many different diets too. Again, most of them worked but not sustainable. I went through a bunch of cleanses, thinking that I could just do this, it will jump start my diet and I’ll be off and running. They worked to rid my body of junk, but within a few weeks it was all back. I tried no carb, low carb, no beer, no burger, only eat chicken, broccoli, and water everyday. Funny, all of those that lasted about 10-15 days just like MBT describes the length of will power.
I also tried many different weight loss supplements because I was looking for the magic pill. There no telling how many thousands of dollars I’ve spent on supplements. Again, some worked for a short time but it was just a matter of time before the weight came back, and I felt like a failure again. The diet supplements made me feel like I fell for a gimmick again and again. Plus, almost all of that stuff was unregulated so who knows what I was putting into my body and at times I just felt awful.
Lastly, right before I found MBT, I even went to a Naturopathic Physician. I was looking for anything at that point. I was at one of the lowest points of my life, depressed, just lost my father to cancer, having trouble concentrating/focusing, and was really giving up on ever feeling, looking, or being healthy again. I thought this would be the answer, a true natural way to a healthy lifestyle and I was 100% committed.
Until about day 30, I fell off the wagon again. It was very costly and wasn’t sustainable for me. I was taking a 7-8 different types of natural supplements, but the diet was tough (no sugar, no beer) and I was limited to a very small list of things that I could eat. And I didn’t have anyone helping me daily overcome the thing that I had failed at the most. It worked for a short time but I was miserable and the physiological and emotional feeling of another failure was devastating.
Any hesitations / doubts you had before joining?
All along, I knew deep down that the issue was my diet. I knew that as a former collegiate athlete that I could work hard. I was actually working out 4x per week anyway. I probably was in denial about being strong enough to overcome when the will power faded. Plus, I saw the results on Philip and he spoke to me about the “non-negotiables”. He said that he was still enjoying beer, burgers, coffee with creamer, and that he was having a diet soda every single day. He was just being taught to overcome and plan around the indulgences. I actually had a good feeling that this one was going to work.
What your hopes were before joining?
Like I mentioned before, I was honestly at an all-time low point in my life. My hope was that I would start to feel better, look better, and have a new outlook on life. I was also hoping that it would be sustainable and I would be able to develop new habits and something I could do for the rest of my life.
What made you sign up MBT?
Seeing real results from real people that I know and trust. Plus after talking to Adam on the phone, I knew he was speaking the truth about why so many people fail at weight loss. It all really made sense to me.
How MBT is different from the billion and one other companies out there?
The difference in MBT is the daily connection. Having someone there to
- Coach you. As much as I thought I knew, I really learned a ton by listening to my coach.
- Hold me accountable for everything that I ate and did.
- Help pre-plan my indulgences. This was brilliant because I knew it was going to be okay if I had Mexican food, or pizza, because I worked around it and planned for them.
- Help navigate a busy weekend or vacation without completely falling off the wagon.
- Pick me up when I fell. My coach would not let me feel shame if I had a bad day and he’d help me get right back on track.
Results. How your life is now?
Life is so much better now. I started out at 249 lbs, and weighed in at 219 lbs for a 30 lb weight loss. I’m really feeling good and looking healthy. My mental focus is much better and I feel clear headed. Most importantly, my results are completely sustainable. My hopes were met and I’m an advocate for MBT.

What did you say to yourself as you were reading Mitch’s story?
It’s fascinating when we start to notice our own behavior. Typically, we distance ourselves from that person. We find something they have that we don’t. We make them into something other than an ordinary, regular person. Then, we create an excuse for why we can’t achieve the same level of success.
The most important thing to realize: Whatever anyone else has done or become, you can do or become as well, with the right support, guidance and accountability.
Here’s the best part: I guarantee it or your money back. I sincerely believe in what we offer that much. I know MBT will be the last program you ever do or need.
