Now that I have met my goal weight I wanted to let you know what a great program you have established. I originally found the MBT website while googling weight loss programs. That was over two years ago. Even though the program sounded wonderful, I was still convinced that I didn't need to pay money for someone to help me lose weight.
All the while I kept getting Adam's insightful emails about weight loss. The approach seemed to be more about behavior and habits. I had come to realize after 50+ years of dieting that if we ate when only hungry none of us would have a problem.

Adam read my information and paired me with a coach he thought would suit me. You can choose your own coach but I figured he had done enough of these pairings and would be better equipped to determine which coach would be the best fit.
Since I am over 60 I was sort of hoping he had a more mature coach. My coach was great to work with and always supportive. I really didn't know what to expect and was surprised to see the lack of diet.
Let's face it: Each and every one of us knows what we should and should not be eating to be healthy. Each of us is different and has different work/life schedules so a blanket type diet in the long run just doesn't work. The best diet in the world is the one you stay on and if it doesn't work for your lifestyle then you will never be able to stay on it forever.
After sending my coach info on what I was eating every day through the MBT system, she would send back suggestions, encouragement and critique the following day, which I looked forward to. It was never shame or guilt based. I did have to have a treat every night. I was not going to give that up and I loved that we worked this into my plan.

It's fascinating when we start to notice our own behavior. Typically, we distance ourselves from that person. We find something they have that we don't. We make them into something other than an ordinary, regular person. Then, we create an excuse for why we can't achieve the same level of success.
The most important thing to realize: Whatever anyone else has done or become, you can do or become as well, with the right support, guidance and accountability.
