1) How did you find out about us?
2) What have you tried in the past?
I previously had eating disorders that made me lose a significant amount of weight then gain it all back and more. I would calorie count and become obsessed then binge. That was not a sustainable lifestyle.
3) What was the main reason, doubt or insecurity that was holding you back from signing up?
I wanted to believe I could do it on my own. I like to think I am a determined person, capable of accomplishing anything, but MBT's expertise combined with daily accountability is what I needed to lose weight in a safe way. I doubted that I would be able to stop obsessing over calories, which I had been doing everyday for 5 years.
4) What was life like before you started working with MBT?
Right before signing up for MBT, I had just gained a lot of weight in a short amount of time. I knew it could get worse, or I could sign up for MBT and it could get better.
5) What were your hopes before joining?
I wanted to lose weight in a healthy way and still enjoy life's pleasures.
6) How is MBT different from the billion other companies out there?
MBT focuses on the mindset, psychology and habits behind food. My relationship with food was toxic, and without fixing it I would never be able to maintain my weight. The way MBT truly cares about you and the way they hold you accountable is unlike anything I've experienced or seen before.
7) Where are you now?
My lifestyle is completely altered. I've created permanent healthy habits and eliminated so many bad ones. I no longer use food to fill emotional voids. MyBodyTutor changed my outlook on food forever. If you want to change the way you think about food, this is the way to do it. I feel amazing! My disordered way of eating has returned to a healthy mindset.
What did you say to yourself as you were reading JM's story?
It's fascinating when we start to notice our own behavior. Typically, we distance ourselves from that person. We find something they have that we don't. We make them into something other than an ordinary, regular person. Then, we create an excuse for why we can't achieve the same level of success.
The most important thing to realize: Whatever anyone else has done or become, you can do or become as well, with the right support, guidance and accountability.
