If Matt can do it with MBT you can too. Yes, YOU! (No, we're not yelling. We just really believe in what we do.)

How did you found out about us?

I first heard about My Body Tutor and Adam through

Noah Kagan’s

podcast. I was already deep in the weeds on the knowledge/fad side of nutrition and body composition but struggling to consistently make progress. I was lucky enough to meet up with Noah and Adam for a mountain bike ride outside of Zion National Park in Hurricane, Utah.

What have you tried in the past?

I tried a number of things in the past... Paleo, Slow Carb, Keto. I'm lucky that I've got a body that is great at building, which includes fat. I had good exercise routines and I knew the key to success was consistent quality nutrition.

The number one thing that My Body Tutor provided me was consistency and immediate feedback. I had to make some trades to make my goals and I'd add that there is an irrational part of nutrition that a coach can help clarify. Cheat Day is a great example, it sounds great, but a day is a long time... Indulgent meals make a lot more sense both rationally and in my day-to-day. I'd much rather enjoy an indulgent meal with friends and family.

Any hesitations or doubts you had before joining?

I was worried that it might not work, which wasn't a big deal. I was already investing time and energy into things that weren't working:) While the monthly cost was a consideration, I saw it as an investment in my future and a huge time/energy saver long-term. Body composition was a huge frustration, eating up a lot of time/energy already.

What were your hopes before joining?

My hopes were to figure out where and how I was undermining my progress. I was putting a ton of mental, physical, and emotional energy into body composition. I knew that I had blind spots and that a coach, coupled with my honesty, could help figure it out. The goal was 30 lbs, but the hopes were knowledge and improved behavior.

What made you sign up MBT?

Two triggers. First, I talked to my doctor about body composition and he recommended the ketogenic diet. This was not good advice, as effective as keto is, it is notoriously difficult to comply with. In fact, this was pretty close timing to when there was a national ranking on diets and compliance and keto ranked last! After this conversation, I gave myself 4-weeks to achieve significant progress on my own. I wasn't making the progress I wanted so I signed up.

How MBT is different from the billion and one other companies out there?

MBT sells and focuses on consistency. 100% of diets are effective if you're 100% consistent. I didn't need a new workout routine or a new list of foods to include/eliminate. I needed feedback. Someone to help me focus where I needed to. My coach helped me make some key tweaks while keeping the big picture simple. We leaned in when things were easy or going well and we stepped back to assess when things could be better. We navigated injuries, weddings, and summer BBQs.

Let’s talk about results. Were your hopes met?

My hopes were definitely met. I successfully hit my target weight of 195 lbs: that's 30 lbs gone in 17 weeks! It’s the lightest I've been since 2011 and I'm carrying a lot more muscle than I did back then. I am the fittest I have been in a long time.

I feel confident in the knowledge I gained and application of that knowledge. I know what I need on a daily and weekly basis to maintain or continue to improve.

Anything else you think is worth sharing?

I want to take a minute to extend appreciation to my coach for his time, attention, encouragement, and feedback. I was making some critical mistakes that were holding me back from my goals for years. His skill, attentiveness and astute corrections got me to my goal in months.

Also, the prep for the Silver Rush 50 was no joke. I appreciate the way he kept his eye on the HIIT and cardio as well as the reps/sets for the lifting. Making to the start/finish line prepared and injury-free was critical.

Finally, I think it is amazing that Adam has built and scaled this program the way that he has. It's a strong program built on sound principles. It’s a great process and I really enjoyed it. It's also an incredible value. Thank you!

What did you say to yourself as you were reading Matt's story?

It's fascinating when we start to notice our own behavior. Typically, we distance ourselves from that person.

We find something they have that we don't. We make them into something other than an ordinary, regular person. Then, we create an excuse for why we can't achieve the same level of success.

The most important thing to realize: Whatever anyone else has done or become, you can do or become as well, with the right support, guidance and accountability.

Here's the best part: I guarantee it or your money back. I sincerely believe in what we offer that much. I know MBT will be the last program you ever do or need.
